In the Studio with Planet Doughnut
Planet Doughnut are out of this world – see what I did there. I’m very lucky that each Wednesday and Saturday they’re at my local market in Mold, so even during lockdown I can enjoy my favourite doughnut treats. I think we can all agree lockdowns are difficult so having something delicious to look forward to is always a positive – so I headed up to the market yesterday and grabbed myself a box and set to work on this image. I’ve wanted to try a “floating” food image for a little while and this was the result. I can tell you balancing food on fishing wire is an art in itself!
I’ve been feeling a little demotivated recently with everything that’s going on in the world and when I feel like this I always go back to Chase Jarvis’ advise that creativity breeds creativity and with this and an opportunity from Planet Doughnut, I feel like I’m starting to get my mojo back! It’s always fun to create images then know you can enjoy the food after!
Planet Doughnut is a family owned artisan doughnut company in Shrewsbury which focuses on creating doughnuts that little bit different. Their yeast raised classic and vegan doughnuts are made overnight and are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Their doughnuts are then topped with the most decadent toppings including my favourites Jammie D and Lotus Biscoff!
They’re now even easier to get your hands on them with their doorstep deliveries. You can get the Planet D Six Pack doughnut box delivered straight to your door during lockdown. The flavours include; Jammie D, Malteser Crunchie Mashup, Lemon Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Galaxy, Kinderella (big fan of this one) and Count Wiscoff (Lotus Biscoff).
Be sure to check out their website for delivery locations – you will not be disappointed if you order a box of these doughnuts!
