Sticky Chicken Skewers

Christmas dinner is THE main meal we prepare for at this time of year, but what if you need something quick and easy before hand? Well, try out these Sticky Chicken Skewers and serve them with a nutty satay sauce or fluffy coconut rice! A perfect mid-week meal for all the family, just remember to soak your skewers before cooking!

Makes 8 skewers


4 Chicken Breasts, diced
2tbsp Cornflour
2tbsp Honey
1 Garlic Clove, mashed
1 Red Pepper, diced
1tbsp Soy Sauce
2tbsp Oyster Sauce
1tbsp Sesame Oil
1tsp Sesame Seeds


  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in warm water before preparing with the chicken
  2. Cut the Chicken into square chucks and place in a food bag or bowl
  3. Add the Corn Flour to the chicken and ensure its evenly coated
  4. In a blender, add the Honey, Garlic, Pepper, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce and Sesame Oil. Blitz until combined
  5. Now add in the sauce to the chicken
  6. Allow to marinate for 1-2 hours
  7. Prepare your skewers using about half a breast per skewer
  8. Pop them on a hot grill and once done, garnish with sesame seeds
